Obituary: Mona Cooper

Mona Cooper, 87, passed away due to natural causes Monday, Jan. 30, 2017, at Northern Montana Care Center.

Her memorial service will be 11 a.m., Friday, Feb. 3, 2017, at the Fifth Avenue Christian Church with Pastor Frank Donato officiating.

The family has suggested memorial donations in Mona's name be made to Blanket Blessings or the charity of the donor's choice.

Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with services and arrangements.

Mona was born May 25, 1929, to Alvin and Dorothy (Kattestead) Anderson. She was raised in Havre and worked at several different local diners in the area over the years; most recently at McDonald's. Mona had five children, Don, Linda, Debbie, Darlene and Diane.

Mona enjoyed fishing and camping and could often be found doing both in the Bears Paw Mountains. Playing bingo was another one of her favorite pastimes. She also liked sewing, ironing and crocheting and making clothes and blankets for those she loved most.

Mona is preceded in death by her parents; a sister; a brother; a grandson; and a son-in-law.

She is survived by her son, Don (Julie) Hanson of Kalispell and their children, Heather and DeJay Hanson; daughters, Linda Mace of Ocean Shores, Washington, and her children, Crystal (Steven) Williamson and Dawn Mace, Debbie (Allan) Marden of Stevensville and their children, Brandy (Nick) Anderson and Corrie (Matt) Aberle, Darlene (Doug) Hollingshead of Havre and their children Kristi (Christian) Lehnert and Tara (Alden Moyer) Hollingshead, and Diane Brien of Great Falls and her children, Michael and Nikki Brien; five great-grandchildren; brothers Elger (Wilma) Anderson of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, Harold (Kathy) Anderson of Havre and Gerald Anderson of Havre, and numerous nieces and nephews.
