Havre Police Department

An officer arrested Thomas Matthew Dess of Havre, 61, on charges of criminal contempt and revocation of a suspended or deferred sentence after recording a 24/7 Sobriety Program violation at 8:06 Wednesday at the police station.

After a caller from a Fourth Avenue location reported at 12:55 p.m. Wednesday that a person was passed out in a parked car, officers arrested Justin James Martin of Havre, 39, on a Justice or City court warrant.

After receiving a call from a probation and parole officer at 12:55 p.m. Wednesday from a Ninth Avenue location, officers arrested Vincent Michael Kaluza of Havre, 57, on charges of possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Officers took a report from a caller at a business on the 100 Block of Fifth Avenue at 1:18 p.m. Wednesday that she had lost a wallet.

Officers took a report from a caller near Northern Montana College at 2:23 p.m. Wednesday that someone had committed an assault the previous night.

Officers responding to a call from a business on the 700 Block of First Street at 4:23 p.m. that an irate customer was yelling at people arrested Doug Floyd Main of Havre, 30, on a charge of disorderly conduct.

Officers investigated a report from a caller at a business on First Street West at 4:34 p.m. that someone had been taking pictures of the business’ security cameras.

After a person at the police station at 10:16 p.m. Wednesday asked to speak to an officer, officers arrested Michael Lee Randles of Havre, 31, on a charge of partner or family member assault.

Sheriff’s Office log recorded no investigations or arrests overnight.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to two calls Wednesday and two today.

Fire crews responded to a call at the 1000 Block of McKinley Avenue after a caller reported Wednesday at 5:05 p.m. that there was a smoke odor. The odor turned out to be an old wood stove and no further action was necessary as there was no fire.

A girl was born Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2017, to Steven Jr. and Jordan Arca of Box Elder.

Havre Animal Shelter

The animal shelter held Thursday morning a black terrier mix and a tan and white Jack Russell terrier mix.
