Search on for missing man on Rocky Boy

February 16, 2017

Rocky Boy Police and other law enforcement started scouring an area near Northern Winz Casino on U.S. Highway 87 Wednesday for a man reported missing.

Richard Roastingstick, 57, was reported missing Monday morning by his family after his vehicle was discovered abandoned on an unpaved road near Northern Winz Friday, said Rocky Boy Police Criminal Investigator Steve Corcoran, who is leading the search.

Four officers, some Fish and Wildlife personnel and a U.S. Border Patrol Agent with a dog were searching the area Wednesday for additional clues, but said that as of 2 p.m no new clues had been discovered as to Roastingstickā€™s whereabouts.

Holly Roastingstick, his sister, said that she and her family last saw Roastingstick Thursday. She said her niece received a message Friday from Lea Falcon Robertson, asking her to come get Roastingstickā€™s red fourdoor Kia that was left abandoned on the road.

Corcoran said Roastingstick is between 5 foot, 7 inches and 5 foot, 9 inches and between 150 and 160 pounds with short black hair and dark skin.

No other details were provided by police. People with more information should contact Rocky Boy Police at 406-395-4513.
