Obituary: Ray Hanel Jr.

Ray Hanel Jr. of Great Falls, 69, peacefully passed away at Peace Hospice Sunday, Feb. 5, 2017.

Cremation has been entrusted to Croxford Funeral Home.

Ray was born in Glasgow, Montana, to Ray and Evelyn Hanel. He entered the military and served his country in Vietnam. He retired from the government and went on to receive a certificate to teach.

Ray is survived by two brothers, Gary of Beaverton, Oregon, and Garlyn of Pendleton, Oregon; his sister, Darla Whitehead of Truckee, Caclifornia; sister-in-law, Joan; nephews, Dean, Wade and Travis; and niece, Tracy.

A graveside service will be held Friday, June 16, 2017, at 1 p.m. at Highland Cemetery in Havre, Montana. A barbecue for family and friends will be held the following day.
