Hello God, it's me, Mara

Blessings

You know, Lord, a recently read Bible verse sure fit the MRI experience that recently took place.  A.S.’s. graphic explanation of her MRI experience of the loud noises was certainly frustrating; more annoying than frightening. Her problem was the position her body had to be in.

Just before putting everything in motion, the tech said, “You must lie still or that set of pictures will have to be repeated. Lie still, try to rest. I’ll wake you when it’s over.”

She thought: “Are you kidding me? Sleep? Who can snooze with all that clanging and knocking noise?” Ear plugs/headphones were a kindness; she said and added, “If you ever have one, do ask for ear plugs.” Then she sort of giggled … glad her MRI was over.

Lying in the open “tube” surrounded by soft, pale blue light, one should have been able to rest, to cast anxieties, worries and frustrations to You, Lord, all except for the pain of the injury. It’s incredible to even think that the One who made the universe cares about each one of us and our needs, our hurts, and our fears.

After that noisy ordeal, she said that it was fascinating to view the “pictures.” Wow! But aren’t we so fearfully and wonderfully made?

How blessed to be surrounded by a host of praying family and friends, for the amazing imaging staff, the kind and concerned tech specialist and the nurse who helped walk her, tottering, back to the waiting room.

What a morning — anything but dull, that’s for sure; and realizing that coincidences are Your special blessing and divine care. 1Peter 5:7: “Casting all your anxiety/care upon Him; for He (God) cares for you.”

Visiting with the orthopedic surgeon for the MRI results, the conservative route was chosen route with cortisone and P.T. and then Plan B, if surgery is needed. Thank you, Lord, for abundant blessings.

Love, Mara
