Dustin Haas, Havre High Tennis

Havre High senior Dustin Haas got his final season of high school tennis off to a great start two weeks ago by winning the annual Cut Bank Invitational. Haas was perfect in the boys singles bracket, including a win over two-time All Central A standout Danyon Rice of Lewistown in the championship. Haas, who was All Central A a year ago for the Ponies and is a two-time Class A All-State golfer, will be in action at this weekend’s Havre Invitational.

Kristen Nash, Havre High Track

Blue Pony senior Kristen Nash began her final season of pre track and field with a bang at last Saturday’s Central Montana Invitational. Nash won the discus with a throw of 100-10, beating the 2016 Central A champion from Livingston. Nash also finished sixth in the shot put with a toss of 28-10, as she helped the Pony girls score plenty of points in their season debut. Nash and the Blue Ponies will host their Lions Havre Invitational Saturday at the Havre Middle School Track.
