Obituary: Tim "Pops" Etchison

Tim "Pops" Etchison died Saturday, March 11, 2017. He was a good man, a good father, and a loving grandpa "PaPops."

Tim was born in California to Joe and Fay Etchison April 16, 1951. He had plenty of glory days living close to Disneyland, including dating Snow White! After Pops met Kathye Kyle, they went to Wyoming and got married. He spent some time in the mines and welcomed their two sons, Shade and Kyle.

They then moved to Havre, Montana, where he graded many a road in exchange for hunting access. After he and Kathye's divorce, Pops and Kyle moved their adventure close to Shade in Bozeman, where he became the best fly fisherman many have come across. He could think just like a fish - if fish had thoughts. Although he liked time to himself, he often had thoughts for loved ones and all people who crossed his path.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother and brothers, Richard and Danny.

He is survived by his ex-wife, Kathy Etchison; son, Shade (Rebecca) Etchison and granddaughters, Lainee, Josalee and Tressa; and son, Kyle Etchison and grandson, Gavin.

A celebration of his life will be held over Memorial Day weekend along the Madison River in the form of a potluck-BBQ with the option of a campout.

Pops will be forever missed and forever in our hearts.
