Local Bowling Report: No-Tap results are in

Just to prove bowling can be a lifelong sport, Inetia Cantin, one of our Thursday morning league bowlers, who is 90 years young, bowled a 183 game and a 436 series. From our seniors, which bowl Fridays, Roland Gould bowled a 231.

First place in the No-Tap tournament went to Michele Denny and Jacob Anderson, with a score of 1,685. Ryne Antley "I don't need no sticking no-tap," rolled a 298, without. We all thought we were going to see the first 300 game of the season, but he fell two short. Nice game, Ryne.

Second place in the tournament went to Michele Denny and Jason McDonald, 1,573, third place to Michele and Doug Denny, 1,560, fourth place to Julie and Matt Finley, 1,554, fifth place to Julie Rodgers and Paul Jensen, 1,551, sixth place to Tammy Pozega and Jacob Anderson 1,549 and seventh place to Ali Ward and Ryne Antley, 1,544. Thanks to everyone who supported our tournament and special thanks to the out of town bowlers.

Julie Rodgers had the highs for women at 212-592 and Ryan Mapes for the men at 268-683.

Speaking of bowling for all ages, some of the youth bowlers participated in the Pepsi Youth Tournament last weekend. Kyle Cornelius took sixth place in the his division, Eli Kucera was seventh. If we hear of any more bowlers who placed, we will do an update next week.
