Congressional candidate campaigns by staying out of sight

HELENA — In his unsuccessful bid to be elected as Montana's governor last year, Republican Greg Gianforte convened town halls, held press conferences and publicized his travels.

Months later, he has shifted his strategy as he campaigns for the state's only congressional seat left vacant after Ryan Zinke became the U.S. Interior Secretary in March.
