Benefit set Saturday for Ramona Stump

People are holding a benefit Saturday to help a group of people who lost everything in a house fire March 23 on Rocky Boy’s Indian Reservation near Box Elder.

Mamie Stump said that along with her sister Ramona Stump, who lived in the house, three adult men and two adult women, including one with physical disabilities, and Ramona Stump’s twin 1-year-old girls lost everything in the fire.

Family and friends have set an all-day fundraiser at Havre’s Eagles Club, starting at 10 a.m. with a silent art auction that runs to 8 p.m. and an all-day pool tournament.

A feed starts at 2 p.m. and runs to 8 p.m., with Indian tacos going for $8 and chili and Indian fry bread selling for $6, Mamie Stump said.

She said any donations — clothing, furniture, anything to help people who lost everything in a fire — also would be appreciated.
