United make home debut

The Hi-Line United U19 soccer team hosted its first home games over the weekend and played both Miles City and Sidney Saturday at the HHS soccer fields.

The United, who are coached by Jayson Burrington, lost the first game of the day against Sidney 2-1, before beating Miles City later in the day 4-3.

In the first game against Sidney, Max Olson scored the lone goal for the United in the loss. In the second game, Olson scored three goals in the first half as the United built an advantage. In the second half, Clifford Lenhardt added to it, by scoring to make it 4-1. However, Miles City scored twice late in the game to get within one. Yet the United were able to run out the last few minutes to wrap up the win.

“It was a really good game between both teams,” Burrington said. “Everybody played really hard and it was just a fun game.”

The United are now 1-3 on the season after losing their previous two matches to open the season. Those matches were back on April 1.
