Kathy Brodeur tries spiced lentils Thrusday during the Community Education class Food as Medicine. The class gives insight into the food people eat, getting away from GMO products, said instructor Sue Pollington. Pollington said people should know where their food comes from - what people may think is wholesome and natural may not be. Over the three weeks of the class, the students will learn how to make spiced tea and flavored salad dressings and use alternative ingredients. Pollington also suggested using local products or planting a garden.
