Obituary - Betty Ann Spring

Lifelong Chinook resident Betty Ann Spring, 90, passed away Dec. 24, 2016, at the Care and Comfort Home in Havre, Montana.

A graveside service will be held June 24, 2017, at 11 a.m. at the Kuper Memorial Cemetery.

Betty was born Nov. 26, 1926, in Chinook, Montana, to Bernard and Adeline Hermes. She graduated from Chinook High School in 1944. She married Lloyd Spring June 2, 1951, in Chinook. Raising their four children, she found time to babysit, as well, at home. She started working at the Blaine Bank in Chinook cleaning with her husband in the late '80s and in 2001 retired.

She always loved to read mystery books and enjoyed barbecues with family. She enjoyed stopping by the Tastee Bite in Chinook and later the Dairy Queen, getting an ice cream cone and going for a drive on Sundays. Her smile and "happy" wave will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her daughters, Barbara (John) Brackney, Rosemary Holden and Marie (Bob) Robertson; son, Peter Spring; five grandchildren, Brian Brackney, John (Tabbatha) Brackney Jr., Wayne (Jennifer) Brackney, Kim (Neil) Normandy and Michael Teel; and seven great-grandchildren.

The family asks that donations be made to the Care and Comfort Home in lieu of flowers.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Edwards Funeral Home.
