Grief Poem - When Two Were One

Long time ago, a boy, a girl, in love, they said “I do!”

In front of kin with flowers, lace; God said, “Now you’re one – not two.”

“I love you more and more my dear, I’ll never let you go.

I’m glad you’re mine, I’ll never, never, never let you go.”

Some ups and downs, life goes along, with love, sunshine and fun.

There’s work and play, time seems to fly, but usually jobs got done.

Remembering how he liked her looks, she’d tease, “You sure look fine.”
