Obituary - Anthony Michael "Tony" Brandon

Anthony Michael "Tony" Brandon was born April 29, 1975, in Havre to Michael and Shelley Brandon. Tony loved to hunt, fish, camp, wrestle, drive fast, ride motorcycles, barbecue and have fun.

From the time he was little, Tony had a special bond with his sister, Tanya, and his wrestling buddy and partner in crime, little brother J.D. He spent many days and nights beside his hero dad hunting deer and fishing. He spent his school years wrestling in which he won many medals and championships. He wrestled all over the U.S. and even went on a trip to Germany. Tony was very proud of those days and made many friends along the way.

To know Tony was to love Tony. Tony's heart and passions included first his family and friends and then his numerous memorable cars and vehicles, such as his '69 Camaro, his black SS pickup, his Tonka Truck and, of course, the Purple People Eater. Vehicles that were like their owner, larger than life. He loved his pets, his most recent dog Taz and sweet Magoo and his old dog Taz who were there to meet him in Heaven. Tony spent many years working on the oil rigs as a driller and had a passion for it. Tony, of course, also enjoyed working on cars, life-size and even model cars. Tony was all heart and gave freely of his time and talents to those he loved.

Tony had a deep love for the ladies in his life, specially his Mamma Shelley, who was his first love. Another lady in his life and the light of his eye was his daughter, Taya, whom he loved spending time with getting ice cream, laughing and playing.

Tony's heart fell for Jill and they were married on Aug. 20, 2005. Her children were blessed with Tony as a stepfather. They recently became grandparents to a little grandson whom Tony was so excited about. They had many adventures together and Jill was in his heart till the end.

Tony had a special place in his heart and was very proud of his nieces and nephews. He loved making them laugh and teasing them. He was always sharing with others their accomplishments. Tony loved to barbecue and enjoyed laughing with and sharing recipes with his brother-in-law James. He also had a special bond with his stepchildren and little step-grandchildren whom he loved playing with.

Tony is survived by his wife, Jill Brandon; daughter, Taya; stepchildren, Chet, Tereyl, Sydney, Laci and Chance; and a new grandson Keevin. He is also survived by his parents, Mike and Shelley Brandon; his sister and brother-in-law James and Tanya Winters; his little brother, "J.D." Brandon; and his aunts, uncles, cousins,  nieces and nephews, extended family, loved ones and many friends.

A celebration of life is being held at Pepin Park in Havre Thursday at 7 p.m.
