Park board sets Beaver Creek burn ban for Friday

The Hill County Commission announced today that the Hill County Park Board will implement a burn ban in Beaver Creek Park starting Friday at 12:01 a.m.

People can use a device solely fueled by liquid petroleum or LPG fuels that can be turned on and off. Such devices can only be used in an area that is barren or cleared of all overhead and surrounding flammable materials within three feet of the device.

The extremely dry conditions led to the ban, a release announcing the ban said.
