16-year-old arrested for vandalism

A 16-year-old boy was arrested Saturday morning after officers found several graffiti marks painted within the city limits.

The boy was arrested on charges of criminal mischief and juvenile curfew violations Saturday morning at 2:15 on the 1000 Block between First and Second Street, the Havre City police dispatch log says.

The marks, painted in red, were of the letters “DFR,” Havre Police Chief Gabe Matosich said this morning. Matosich said the markings did not resemble anything he was familiar with, adding it is unknown if they were gang-related.
