Obituary - Glenn Milton Pursley

Glenn Milton Pursley, 78, passed away Aug. 21, 2017, at his home in Chinook, Montana.

The viewing will be held Aug. 25, 2017, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home in Chinook. The funeral service will be held at St. Margaret Mary's Catholic Church Aug. 26, 2017, starting at 11 a.m.

Glenn was born Sept. 25, 1938, to Milton and Verla Pursley in Havre, Montana. He grew up on the Peel Place and the Randall Place in the Bear Paw Mountains east of Big Sandy. After graduating from high school in 1957,  he joined the U.S. Army National Guard. He later moved his family to Chinook where he farmed and then later retired.

The love of farming, working on machinery, redoing his old cars was his passion all of his life.  He loved anything mechanical- cars, pickups, farm equipment, model trains, and even model planes.

Other activities Glenn enjoyed were visiting with neighbors, looking through photos, having coffee with his buddies, and spending time with family whether it was a trip with them or playing trains with his grandsons.

He survived by his children Tammie Pursley of Havre and Wade (Lourdes) Pursley of Zurich; grandchildren Racheal (Kent) Heilig of Turner, Curtis (Sheena) Pursley of Harlem, Laramie(Silas) Smith of Dillon, Jory Pursley of Bosie Idaho, Kayceen Pursley of Kalispell,  Jase Pursley, Benjamin Pursley and Denali Pursley of Zurich; his sister, Alice (C.R.) Morrison, Livingston, his niece Darci Morrison, Livingston; his constant canine companions Katie and Kathi of Chinook, and many great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by parents, Milton and Verla Pursley, son Wesley, great-granddaughters Paige Heilig and Kenley Heilig and canine companions Toto, Penny, and Porter.
