Havre Police Department

Officers investigated after a caller reported Wednesday at 7:53 a.m. that she hit a deer on the hill near Holiday Village Mall.

Officers made an arrest after a U.S. Highway 2 Northwest business caller reported Wednesday at 3:53 p.m. that they had a shoplifter in custody. No additional information was profided in the call log.

Brooke Ann Blacktongue of Havre, 29, was arrested on charges of resisting arrest, partner or family member assault and assault after a First Street caller reported today at 12:51 a.m. that there was a fight between a woman and her grandmother.

Hill County Sheriff’s Office

Deputies issued two summonses after a  U.S. Highway 2 Northwest business caller reported Wednesday at 6:35 p.m. that there were two shoplifters in custody. Daniel Josef Baranyai of Havre was issued a summons on a charge of shoplifting, and Elezabeth Jhaney Randles of Havre, 33, was issued a summons on a charge of shoplifting.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to three calls Wednesday.

Fire crews responded Wednesday at 4:16 p.m. to the 600 Block of 11th Street where a gas smell was reported.

Fire crews responded Wednesday at 9:16 p.m. to the 0 Block of 13th Street West. No one from the fire department was availbale for details.

Havre Animal Shelter

The animal shelter held this morning one long- haired, two medium-haired, eight short-haired and one Siamese cat.

The animal shelter held this morning a female pit bull terrier, a male shepherd-rottweiler mix,  a female terrier,  a female Labrador retriever-hound mix dog and a male miniature pinscher.
