Obituary - Julius John Preite Jr.

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Julius J. Preite of Yucca Valley, California, has sadly passed away at the age of 74.

He was born and grew up in Havre, Montana. A graduate of University of Montana in Missoula, he held a triple major and master's degree in music. He was indeed a musician's musician known for his expertise on brass, string, and woodwind instruments, as well as vocals. He performed music weekly in the desert area until his untimely death.

Julius is survived by his loving wife and music partner, Sylvia, children Julius Preite III, Paige Vaughn (James), Perrin Preite, and grandchildren Micah, Mazie, Abigail, and Curtis. He is survived by brothers Richard, Steve, Dan, and Carl Bear, as well as sisters Rosemarie Painter (Scott) and Mary Lou Plovanic (Michael), numerous cousins, and many friends.

There will be a Celebration of Life in honor of Julius held Saturday Oct. 14, 2017, 2 p.m. at Eagles Club in Havre. Please RSVP to Sylvia Preite at [email protected].
