Hello God. It's me, Mara

God’s eraser

You know, Lord, sometimes one hears precious things little children say, or a friend shares what their little one said. Here are several that show just how much God works in the lives of children.

“Jacque” shared that she and her 3- year-old son watched a jet leave a trail of smoke in the sky. Suddenly, Teddy exclaimed: “Mum!!! Does God have an eraser???” When she asked him why, he said, “Because – just look up there and see!!! As soon as that jet marks up the sky, God is rubbing it off!”  She said she smiled and then she got to thinking, isn’t that the way our Father forgives us of our sins? He rubs them off and never remembers them again. Forgiving is not easy, but it is a command; we need to live a reconciled life with Christ, knowing that His grace is sufficient.

Friends were invited to be with family for their baby baptism. Sitting near the back, as the baptism was in progress, a little girl ahead of them leaned over, whispering loud enough for them and others to hear, asked, “Mommy, why are they washing that baby in the front of the church? We take our baths the night before church.”

“Julie” shared that one autumn day, her 4-year-old son was looking out the window one morning and said, “Mom! Mom! Come and look. God just turned on the light!” Sure enough, over the hills, the sun was coming up.

What a wonderful thought, that You Lord, turned on the light for that little guy – and his mom. Thank you Lord. We know how much You love little children as we read in Matthew 19: 14, Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

Love Mara
