Agenda - Montana State Parks & Recreation Board Announces October Agenda

HELENA — Montana State Parks & Recreation Board announced today the agenda for the Tuesday, Oct. 24 meeting at First Peoples Buffalo Jump State Park located at 342 Ulm-Vaughn Rd. in Ulm.

The board will hold a work session from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. which will familiarize the new members with the role and function of the board, meeting protocol and other related board processes. The work session will also include an overview of the Parks Division budgets.

The board meeting will begin at 10:45 a.m. with introductions of the board members; Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Director Martha Williams; and Parks Division staff as well as an orientation of the Montana State Parks’ system. The board will also hear updates on the Parks in Focus Initiative, performance audit, Montana State Parks Foundation, and discuss topics for future meetings.

The public is invited to attend. Public comment for items not on the agenda will begin at 11:15 a.m. Audio of the meeting will be available at http://stateparks.mt.gov.
