Going into last Wednesday's game with Augusta, the Big Sandy Pioneers had their first chance at clinching a spot in the Six-Man playoffs for the first time in five years. And Big Sandy was determined not to let the Elks stand in its way.
The Pioneers, who beat Geraldine/Highwood the week before, easily dismissed the Elks 43-6 last Wednesday at home, clinching a berth in the playoffs.
