The Blaine County Fair Board is inviting people to the Blaine County Fairgrounds Thursday for a full concert.

A press release said the board is presenting a Western Evening with Canadian recording artist Eli Barsi and Ken Overcast, starting at 7 p.m. in the fairgrounds Events Center.

Overcast, a local musician, performer, storyteller and writer and his granddaughter Molly Holingstad will open for Barsi.

Barsi is a farm girl from the Sasketchewan prairie who uses her country roots performing traditional country western, gospel and Canadian folk music, the release said.

She recently won the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Wrangler Award for Best Original Western Composition for her song "Portrait of a Cowgirl."

Craig Shelburne of CMT Nashville said, "Eli Barsi is a talented, traditional-minded country singer from rural Canada who isn't shy about putting her Western roots into her music."

The concert Thursday is $10 at the door for adults or $25 for a family.

Concessions and a cash bar will be available at the concert.

Proceeds from the concert will go toward efforts of the Blaine County Fair Board and Blaine County Fair Foundation to "improve the fairgrounds and bring a quality fair to Blaine County."
