Man gets probation, ordered to pay $5K in restitution for writing bad checks

A Box Elder man received six years probation and was ordered to pay more than $5,000 in restitution for writing bad checks.

Ronald Dale Stump, born in 1988, received six years with the Department of Corrections, all suspended, for six felony offenses of issuing bad checks by common scheme. He also received six months in the county jail, all suspended, for four misdemeanor offenses of issuing bad checks by common scheme and ordered to pay $5,316.87 in restitution to victims. His sentence was part of a plea deal.
