Obituary - Carol Ann Moore

Carol Ann Moore of Havre, 78, went to meet her Heavenly Father Friday, Nov. 17, 2017, at Northern Montana Hospital due to natural causes.

Cremation has taken place and a funeral Mass will be held Monday, Nov. 27, 2017, at 11 a.m. at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church. Memorials in Carol's name may be made to the Havre-Hill County Library for large print books, the North Central Senior Citizen's Center or the charity of the donor's choice.

Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with services and arrangements.

Carol was born Jan. 21, 1939, in Cut Bank to Carl A. and Ida Mary (Geary) Walker. She attended school and was raised in Cut Bank graduating from Cut Bank High School in 1957. She later moved to Havre and attended Northern Montana College graduating with a degree in teaching in 1969. Dec. 28, 1971, Carol Walker married William Moore in Havre at the Hospital Chapel and together they made their home in Havre.

Carol taught for more than 20 years as a first-grade teacher at Highland Park and Lincoln-McKinley schools, until her retirement in January 1993. She enjoyed socializing with her friends and bird watching and was an avid reader. She delighted in spending time with her family and grandchildren. Carol was a diehard Denver Broncos fan, est. 1977. She was a member of the "Havre Hatters" Red Hat Society, MEA and HEA and volunteered at the Havre-Hill County Library.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Richard A. Walker; husband, William Moore in 2003; infant son, Steven Patrick Mallo in 1959; and infant grandson, Jaydan Dimes in 2012.

Carol is survived by her daughters, Kathryn Lynn (Jim) Bahr of Vacaville, CA, and Joan (Cal) Daulton of Havre; sons, Jim (A.J.) Vaskey of Billings, William "Bill" Moore of MT and Brian (Julie) Moore of Havre; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; sister, Bev E. (Jim) Sundine of Castle Rock, CO; brother Gary W. (Joan) Walker of Browning; and several nieces and nephews.
