It’s Medicare Part D open enrollment time. Please check to make sure your medications are going to be covered. We are finding many changes with coverage on the various medications. This includes blood pressure medication and acid reflux medication prices going way up. One young lady who was checking her coverage thought everything would be fine because she has her coverage forever with her current company. She discovered one of her medications she has been on would cost over $2,000 next year instead of $39. Educate yourself. Check your coverage. We don’t want you to be upset. We also don’t want you to have any surprises we won’t be able to help you with. You have to be your own advocate and be prepared to accept change. The change may be as simple as using another pharmacy as we’re finding $10 and $20 differences and more in just shopping around with the local pharmacies.
