Wildhorse Rural Fire Department receives $2,500 grant

SPOKANE - Northwest Farm Credit Services has awarded Wildhorse Rural Fire Department in Hill County, Montana, a $2,500 Northwest FCS Rural Community Grant.

"On behalf of all the members of Wildhorse volunteer fire department, we would like to thank Northwest Farm Credit Services for awarding us the rural community grant," said Wildhorse Fire Chief Shawn Rismon. "The money will be used to purchase radio equipment to improve communication while on large fires, enabling us to stay safe while fighting fire."

Northwest FCS is committed to helping rural communities succeed. In 2017 to date, Northwest Farm Credit Services has committed over $250,000 to 171 projects in rural communities across Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington. Since the program's inception in 2007, it has awarded 805 grants totaling more than $1.46 million.
