Deputies investigated after a U.S. Highway 2 West caller reported Friday at 2:24 p.m. that someone was shoplifting.

Deputies arrested David Richard Place of Rudyard, 49, on a charge of partner of misdemeanor family member assault and on a Justice or City court warrant after a caller from Second Street Northwest in Rudyard reported Friday at 2:57 p.m. that a neighbor pointed a gun at her son. After arriving on the scene deputies found someone had been shot with a pellet gun in the hip. Everyone involved said it was an accident. Deputies arrested the man allegedly responsible for shooting someone with a pellet gun.

Deputies issued two summonses after a U.S. Highway 2 West business caller reported Friday at 8:02 p.m. that there were two shoplifters in the store. Tylanna Rochelle Adams of Harlem, 20, and Tanika Rose Lawrence of Harlem, 23, were each issued a summons on a shoplifting charge.

Deputies issued a summons to Jamie Jaymes of Havre, 22, on a theft charge after a U.S. Highway 2 West business caller reported Saturday at 11:14 a.m. that a theft had happened.

Deputies arrested Nicolette Lailoni Windyboy of Box Elder, 37, on a charge of shoplifting and on three Justice or City court warrants after a U.S. Highway 2 West business caller reported Saturday at 1:47 p.m a shoplifter.

Havre Fire Department

Medical crews responded to three calls Friday, six calls Saturday, three Sunday and one today.

Fire crews responded to a call Saturday at 9:22 a.m. at the 800 Block of Fourth Street to what turned out to be a false alarm. No further action was needed.

Havre Animal Shelter

The animal shelter held this morning three medium-haired, one long-haired and two short-haired cats.

The animal shelter held this morning a female pit bull terrier, a male shepherd a male and a female Labrador retriever, and a female Australian shepherd-border collie mix dogs.

A boy was born Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2017, to Raani Huntley and Alan Doney of Fort Belknap.
