    For nearly six years I have called Havre home. I have family here, I have met a lot of great people here, I spent the first couple years of my marriage here, my wife finished her teaching degree at Montana State University-Northern, and the Havre Daily News gave me a shot fresh out of college when other newspapers were busy with layoffs and downsizing.     The goal heading into the weekend was a state championship, and after a third-place finish a year ago, the Hi-Line United U19 soccer club knew that was a plausible goal for 2014. But while the United did a lot of growing up since last year's rebuilding stages, so did the competition.     Once June rolls around, every soccer club across the state has one thing on its mind, a state championship. Friday through Sunday, the Hi-Line United U19 co-ed soccer team will play for the Montana State Cup in Billings. Joining the United in the Classic title hunt will be the Big Timber Wolves, Laurel Storm, Red Lodge Soccer, Sidney Strikers and Miles City Posse.     After taking on Glasgow for the third time in less than a month, the Havre North Stars American Legion baseball team continued to find mixed results against the Reds. In mid-May the North Stars defeated the Reds’ B squad, but fell to the A squad in a home doubleheader. Over the weekend at the Havre Jamboree, the North Stars defeated the B squad for the second time. But just like they did at home last month.     With another Havre Jamboree in the books, the Havre North Stars American Legion baseball team got the opportunity to play four more home games over the weekend.     Playing two games at home over the weekend, the Hi-Line United U19 soccer team ran into two teams that made very solid cases for possibly being two of the state’s best for a second consecutive season.     It is still the early stages of the Havre North Stars American Legion baseball schedule, but this weekend brings ample opportunity for local baseball fans to catch a game or two.     The entire Havre North Stars American Legion baseball roster got an at-bat Tuesday night, and it was a complete team effort that resulted in the come-from-behind victory. Tuesday at Legion Field in Havre, the North Stars played one seven-inning game against the Great Falls Outlaws Senior Babe Ruth squad.
