The Class AA Great Falls Bison have two very tough basketball programs, and the Havre High boys and girls squads are going to have their hands full. Heading into the weekend the Havre High wrestling team wanted to meet the Belgrade Panthers in the championship round, and after six duals, the Central A Ponies got what they wanted. Friday and Saturday the Ponies were in Belgrade for the Class A duals. The Belgrade Panthers are a tough team, but when they are executing their pressure defense the way they did on Friday, they are almost unstoppable. Despite a rocky start, the Havre High boys basketball team was able to grab a second conference win of the weekend. After defeating the Belgrade Panthers on Friday night, the Central A Blue Ponies hosted the Livingston Rangers at the Havre High gymnasium on Saturday. It was a rough start for both the 9C Turner Tornadoes and North Star Knights, but somebody had to win. The Knights entered the tournament as the No. 3 seed taking on the No. 6 seed Tornadoes Thursday night at the Havre High gymnasium.
