    Havre Trails, with the help of a Montana Conservation Corps trail building crew, is cutting a new trail this week into the hills of Beaver Creek Park. This trail breaks off the already popular upper Rotary Canyon loop trail and winds its way down a ridge towards Beaver Creek.     Over the next coming few weeks, Gene Bushnell's hand-built Montana Pioneer's Stagecoach is making its way across the Hi-Line as it travels along U.S. Highway 2 from the northwest corner of the state to North Dakota.   • HRDC playground equipment gets facelift with new mulch

    District 4 Human Resources Development Council's Early Head Start program's playground received a makeover with help from members of Havre Masonic Lodge #50, the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints volunteers and HRDC Early Head Start program employees. After years of use, the old wooden playground mulch had broken down into dirt and needed replacing.   • Graduations run through the COVID-19 pandemic

    Despite the pandemic, it was a busy weekend for graduations including Chinook High School. Sunday night, 21 seniors graduated from Chinook High School . With social distancing still in effect, everyone attending the ceremony was asked to do so from their own cars. Chinook High School Principal Matt Molyneaux said the ceremony wouldn't have happened without the "time and effort from a lot of people in our community."   • Guard flies appreciation for COVID-19 front-liners

    Showing appreciation for first responders who are fighting COVID-19 from the front lines came from the sky above Havre Wednesday. The Montana Air National Guard flew two aircraft from the 120th Airlift Wing to 21 cities across Montana to show its support for people fighting the virus.     With Havre-area musicians left without an artistic outlet due to COVID-19 restrictions, KNMC 90.1, Montana State University-Northern’s radio station, has come up with a way to keep them making music.
