Providence was picked to win the league this year, and so far, the Argos look every bit the part. Still, defending Frontier stars Carroll College and Lewis-Clark State aren't ready to give up the crown either, and MSU-Northern and Rocky Mountain College have the talent to do damage, too. Also, in an...

  • 2020 Frontier Preview: Some of the NAIA's best women's teams reside in the Frontier

    George Ferguson|Updated Jan 3, 2020

And through the first three months of NAIA basketball this season, it would be hard to argue that anything has changed. In other words, the Frontier is still really good. Yet there have been some surprises, and that's going to...

    Pam Burke|Updated Jan 3, 2020

A Maryland woman has proven that, when it comes to Christmas gifts, it’s not the giving that counts — it’s the giving, then taking it back and then cashing it in for $50,000 that really counts. She said she only buys tickets around Christmastime to give as little gifts for f...

  • Hello, God. It's me, Mara.

    Updated Jan 3, 2020

You know, Lord, reading an article titled "REFLECTIONS," a challenge was given: "If you were another person, would you like to be a friend of yourself?" What a good New Year's Resolution that would be for every one of us to make, right? But - like it or not, that is a hard saying. That challenge calls for some inner inspection. Does our Christian walk go with our talk? We know that we should pray our walk would show. A person has to live with himself and in so doing, it's up t...

  • A clean slate for the new year

    Updated Jan 3, 2020

As I quickly flip through those pages, I’m reminded of the many wonderful things that occurred over the past 12 months. For example, some new pastors arrived in our community and are plugging in and blessi...
