SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) — Authorities have charged a Havre High School graduate now living in Southern California with murder in the death of his girlfriend’s 17-month-old daughter. The Orange County District Attorney’s office said Friday that 28-year-old Christopher David Recio of San Clemente, 28, was charged with murder and assault on a child likely to produce great bodily injury. As week two of the 66th Legislature progressed, the feeling I had was that bills seem to be moving slower than last session. My thought was that maybe I was not seeing the big picture, but visiting with other legislators, it seems we all feel the same. The stretch run of the girls high school basketball season has arrived on the Hi-Line. District tournaments are less than a month away, and that means, every game is a big one from here on out. That was the case last week, where the Hi-Line was busy with hoops action. It started last Thursday night with Rocky Boy falling to District 1B rival Fairfield, 50-30.
