KALISPELL (AP) — Montana authorities say a grizzly bear has killed a person in the Flathead National Forest just outside Glacier National Park. Much of Havre took a break Tuesday afternoon to watch, cheer and walk along with the Havre High School band as it marched from the school, down 5th Avenue and to Pepin Park. Delores "Brownie" Deo Berendzen passed away June 24, 2016, in Havre, Montana, after a battle with cancer. She was born July 9, 1938, in Malta, Montana, the daughter of Guy and Blanche (Agard) Deo. Brownie attended school in Malta graduating in 1956. She married Fred Messerly in 1957. They had four children: Christine, Jolene, Vance and Charlie. They later divorced.
