Blaine County has now confirmed its first case of COVID-19, coming during a surge in cases in the state and additional deaths due to the disease, right before surveillance testing is scheduled for the county Thursday and Friday. Born March 21st, 1949 in Sidney, Montana, Leland "Lee" J. Nicholson passed away peacefully at his Helena home July 12, 2020, aged 71 years.
