Havre City Council heard Tuesday about work to rehabilitate a city water tank, approved some requests for street closures for Festival Days and ended by opening its final budget meeting, continued to 6 tonight in City Hall. Albert Lester “Les” Vining, 96, passed away peacefully at home Aug. 21, 2017. Les was born in Billings, Montana, Jan. 20, 1921; adopted March 20, 1922, by his parents Albert Levi Vining and Lillian Winnifred Brown in Flathead County and raised in Havre and Whitefish, graduating from Whitefish High School in 1939.
