Margaret Marie Bear was sentenced in state District Court to 10 years in prison after she previously pleaded guilty to striking a pedestrian May 25, 2019, with a Chevrolet Trailblazer she was driving and then fleeing the scene. Press release May 23, Memorial Day Weekend, the Havre Police Department responded to a complaint of three dead dogs in a yard in the 1000 block of Eighth Avenue. Through the investigation and evidence collected at the scene, intentional poisoning was suspected. Toxicology results from the dogs confirmed that the dogs died of a gopher poison which is not readily available from local sources. The 2020 Big Sky Region Rodeo season is underway, and the Montana State University-Northern Lights and Skylights have now attended two rodeos.
