  • Havre police cope with hospital incident

    Havre police were summoned to a disturbance at the emergency room at Northern Montana Hospital Monday morning. Police said as they arrived at the scene, the perpetrator of the incident fled the scene, exiting the hospital by a side door. The victim apparently left the scene as well. The apparently started on Rocky Boy's Indian Reservation, where there were reports the perpetrator had a gun. Authorities don't know if he had a gun at the hospital.     1:40 p.m. Havre Police Chief Gabe Matosich said police apprehended the suspect that locked down Havre public buildings. Matosich said the suspect was apprehended near the 100 Block of 5th Avenue.     Havre residents may again be voting on a $30 million, 20 year-plan to renovate the city’s streets. City Councilwoman Pam Hillery proposed last night that the matter, defeated 918-1,199 in the November elections, be put on the ballot again in 2016.
