District 4 HRDC, closed for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Normal business hours will resume Tuesday at 8 a.m.

Tuesday, Jan. 16

Martin Luther King Jr. Day Observance, noon - 1:30 p.m., SUB Ballroom at MSU-Northern. Toby Miller Shearer will present "Making the Struggle Count: Lessons from the Civil Rights Movement." Refreshments will be provided.

Wednesday, Jan. 17

USS Montana presentation, 7 p.m., Elks Club, with the latest updates on the status on Montana's namesake nuclear attack submarine and information on how to become involved in future projects concerning the boat, including the commissioning ceremony.

Open Skating at Havre Ice Dome, 5:45 - 7 p.m.

Recycle Hi-Line, 7 p.m. Hill County Annex Building, 302 4th Ave., through the alley door.

Books and Babies, 10:15 a.m., Havre-Hill County Library. Free, and public is welcome.

Story Time, 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Havre-Hill County Library. Free, and public is welcome.

Thursday, Jan. 18

"Dinner with Friends," a Montana Actors' Theatre production, 8 p.m., MSU-Northern Little Theatre. Doors and Backstage Lounge open 7:30 p.m. Cost is $15 adults and $10 Students, seniors and military.

Friends of the Havre-Hill County Library meeting, noon, library meeting room. Members will be planning the Valentine Pie Social. Guests and new members are welcome. For info call 265-4610.

Montana Veterans Affairs service officers, 1:30 – 3 p.m., Fort Belknap IHS CHR Conference Room. Any veteran interested in applying for benefits must bring a copy of their discharge paperwork, DD214.

Artist reception of "Face Value," by Roberta Edwards, 6 - 8 p.m., Artitudes Gallery, upper level of the Atrium Mall. The public is invited for refreshments, live music and a visit with the artist.

2018 Hip-Hop Dance Camp, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m., Sunnyside School gym, with Studio of Dance and Arts, for K-8th-grade kids. Dancers will perform at the Lights basketball game after camp. For information call Janna Faber, 945-5675.

I would LOVE to see our community list more events in this section. So many times you hear from a friend that went to some event or fundraiser that you didn't even hear about. Would love to see any little thing going on in Havre to be posted here.
