Friday, Oct. 11

Artist Reception featuring “Thru My Eyes,” artwork by Theodore “Teddy” Koop, 6 - 8 p.m., Artitudes Gallery on the upper level of the Atrium. The public is invited for refreshments, live music and a visit with the artist. The show will be in-house through Nov. 30.

"The Vorbit Incident," a Montana Actors' Theatre production, 8 p.m., MSU-Northern's Little Theatre. Doors and Backstage Lounge open at 7:30 p.m. The play, written by Missoula playwright Jay Kettering, is set in a missile silo near Great Falls. Cost is $15 for adults, $10 for students, seniors and military, and free to MSU-N students with a valid ID.



Legends for Lights Trap Shoot, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., Havre Trap Club, east off the south end of 5th Avenue. This fundraiser event for MSU-Northern athletes includes lunch and shotgun shells with the $40 entry.

Havre High Marching Band performance, 6 p.m., gates open at 5:30, Blue Pony Stadium field. The football game was canceled, but the band will be performing one last time this year. Free and open to the public.

Saturday, Oct. 12

Sunday, Oct. 13

Gildford Fall Community Celebration, 5 p.m., Community Church of Gildford, 310 6th St. Music will be by Hi-Line Music Project, followed by a pig roast meal, for a free-will donation. Proceeds benefit church youth programs.

Auditions for Montana Actors' Theatre Christmas panto "Jack and the Beanstalk," 7 p.m., MSU-Northern Little Theatre. They are looking for 12 adults and mature middle or high school youth for this comedy.

Monday, Oct. 14

The Havre Wresling Club early registration, 6 p.m., Havre High School Wrestling Room. This registration is for wrestlers with three years of wrestling experience or are currently in the 4th grade. For info, call 945-3609.

Havre High Key Club Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF, 6 - 8 p.m., door to door in the Havre community. Members will be collecting donations that will help provide vaccinations for prevention of neonatal tetanus.

Havre Middle School Fall Choir Concert, 7 p.m., HMS Assembly Room. The program will feature 6th and 7th-8th grade choirs, along with select singing groups. There is no charge to attend.

Writing Effective Resumes, 9 a.m. - noon, Havre Job Service. For info and to reserve a spot in this free workshop, call 265-5847.

Friends of the Library meeting, noon, Havre Hill Country Library meeting room. This is also the annual membership drive. Dues are $1 for the year. Pizza will be served.

Northern Alumni Auction, 6 p.m., with doors open at 5:30 p.m., Student Union Ballroom, MSU-Northern. This fundraiser will have auctions, games, raffles and an appetizer bar. Cost is $30 per person. For tickets call 265-3711 or stop at Northern’s Cowan Hall Room 305.

I would LOVE to see our community list more events in this section. So many times you hear from a friend that went to some event or fundraiser that you didn't even hear about. Would love to see any little thing going on in Havre to be posted here.

HPS Education Foundation hosting the annual HOLIDAY HOOPS Blue Pony alumni basketball games on Friday December 27th at the Havre Middle School. First game at 6:30pm. Players contact Tony at 390-6178 or Grayson at Master Sports. Fun for the whole family!
