Wildcats want to leave their mark in Great Falls

The Harlem Wildcats have shown no signs of fading throughout the basketball season this year and they hope that dominance continues through this weekend.

Harlem is coming off a 64-50 win over Wolf Point last weekend at the divisional tournament in Glasgow. That win gives the Wildcats the top seed from their division entering the Class B state tournament, which begins today in Great Falls. Harlem (21-3) faces Troy (15-10) in the final game tonight at 8 at the Four Seasons Arena.

Harlem also won the District 2B title two weeks ago, creating an eight-game winning streak coming into tonight's game.

On the same side of the bracket as Harlem and Troy are Baker (17-7) and Frenchtown (18-5). Wolf Point (19-4), Columbus (20-4), Missoula Loyola (17-7) and Huntley Project (18-7) are on the other side of the bracket.

Harlem has faced Wolf Point four times already this season, and many expect the two teams to meet up again Saturday night. The Wildcats have two wins and two losses against the Wolves this season. The other loss Harlem suffered came to Poplar in January.

The Wildcats finished third at the state tournament last season.
