Daffodil orders being taken

Daffodil Days is an annual community-based fund-raising campaign conducted by local American Cancer Society volunteers. Held during the first days of spring, volunteers sell bunches of daffodils to raise funds for cancer research, education, advocacy and patient service programs.

The American Cancer Society recognizes the daffodil not only as the first flower of spring, but also as a symbol of hope that cancer will be cured in our lifetime.

Daffodil Days will take place this year on March 25. Co-workers, businesses, clubs and friends may place orders with Daffodil Days volunteers through March 20.

Daffodil bouquets can be purchased with glass vases for local cancer patients, hospitals and nursing homes. American Cancer Society volunteers will deliver these gifts to people. Anyone can donate a bouquet of daffodils to cancer patients or just to a loved one to brighten their day.

For more information, call Charlotte Kelley, Daffodil Days chair, at 265-8017 or e-mail [email protected].
