KENNETH STUMP, Obituary

BOX ELDER Kenneth W. "Kenny" Stump, 50, died Wednesday, March 13, 2002, at a Havre hospital after a lengthy illness.

The wake began at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church at Rocky Boy. Funeral service was 11 a.m. today with Pastor Ruth Votaw officiating.

Burial was to follow at the Rocky Boy Cemetery. Fellowship was to follow burial at the church.

Kenny was born Oct. 16, 1951, to Donald Stump and Madeline Oats at Pocatello, Idaho. He graduated from Box Elder High School. He graduated from Haskell Indian Junior College in Lawrence, Kan.

In 1973, Kenny served in the U. S. Navy. Kenny returned to Rocky Boy when he was discharged.

Kenny was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. He enjoyed painting homes, listening to the oldies on the radio, and spending time with his family and friends.

Kenny was preceded in death by his father, Donald Stump in 2001, and his infant son, Dustin Stump.

Survivors include his mother, Madeline Oats of Rocky Boy; brothers, Quentin Stump Sr. of Great Falls, Donavon Stump of Rocky Boy, John Oats of Los Angeles, Joseph Arkinson of Rocky Boy; sisters, Linda Stump of Lodge Pole, Leona Swan of Rocky Boy, Sandra Stump of Rocky Boy, Odessa Medicine Horse of Rocky Boy, Annette Stump of Rocky Boy; sons, Kelly Stump of Rocky Boy, Kenneth Stump of Browning; daughters, Melissa Stump of Rocky Boy, Christina Stump of Kansas City, Kan., Carrie Stump of Browning, Kimberly Stump of Billings, Jimmi Stump of Billings; five grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Services and arrangements are under the direction of the Holland and Bonine Funeral Home.
