JOHN OLEARY, Obituary

John J. O'Leary, 79, retired railroad employee, died Wednesday, March 13, 2002, of natural causes at a Havre care center.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at St. Jude Catholic Church with Fr. Pete Guthneck officiating. Burial is to follow at the Highland Cemetery. A fellowship is to follow at the Vets Club.

John was born on June 10, 1922, to Thomas and Nellie (Degendorfer) O'Leary at Collis, Minn. In 1934, the O'Leary family moved to Savoy. He attended school in Savoy. In 1936, they moved to Harlem. In 1943, John joined the Seabees, a part of the U.S. Navy. John served his countr...
