ISABELL HELMBRECHT, Obituary

Isabell A. Helmbrecht, 85, a Havre homemaker, died Thursday, March 14, 2002, at a Havre care center of natural causes.

Funeral service is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Holland and Bonine Chapel, with Pastor Rowlie Hutton officiating. Burial is to follow at Highland Cemetery.

Isabell was born Sept. 22, 1916, to Olaf and Josephine (Spooner) Evanson at Noonan, N.D. The family moved to Havre. Isabell was educated at St. Jude's Catholic School in Havre.

On Aug. 16, 1956, Isabell married Jerome Helmbrecht in Havre. Isabell worked as a maid for many years.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed watching soap operas. She spent Saturday afternoons downtown socializing with her friends. Isabell loved to cook meals and have family and friends over. She made the best spaghetti and soups, especially cream soups.

Isabell was preceded in death by her parents, Olaf and Josephine (Spooner) Evanson, two brothers, one sister.

Survivors include her husband, Jerome "Troop" Helmbrecht of Havre; brother, Howard "Weezie" Evanson of Havre; brother-in-law, Bill Helmbrecht of Sauk Center, Minn.; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services and arrangements are under the direction of the Holland and Bonine Funeral Home.
