WALLACE DVORSHAK, Obituary

DODSON Wallace E. Dvorshak, 79, died Friday, March 22, 2002, at a Malta hospital of natural causes.

A family service will be held at a later date.

Wallace was born in Bellingham, Wash., to Mike and Julia (Nordlund) Dvorshak on Aug. 12, 1922. He attended schools in Dodson and Malta.

Wallace married Helen Minugh on Jan. 25, 1941, in Malta.

Wallace worked in the Safeway Grocery Stores in Malta and Havre and was the manager of the store in Chinook. He purchased the Hi-Way Bar in Dodson in 1945, which he operated until his retirement in 1975. He enjoyed playing cards and cutting and stacking firewood.

Wallace was preceded in death by his parents; and a son, Donald "Barc" Dvorshak in 1977.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Dvorshak of Dodson; daughter, W. Terry Grewtman of Seattle, Wash.; son, Dale Dvorshak of Las Vegas, Nev.; brother, Frank Dvorshak of Portland, Ore.; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are by Edwards Funeral Home in Chinook.
