Dressing the part

More than 60 Havre High School 10th- and 11th-graders from Rich Vasquez's U.S. history and world history classes visited Lincoln McKinley Primary School on Wednesday afternoon. The students taught and played games with seven classes of second-graders.

Some of the kids learned about events like the Boston Tea Party and the discovery of America. Others had the chance to build a miniature Great Wall of China out of clay, dine on Chinese food or learn about various explorers.

"This is great for my kids. You're always trying to find ways to make history practical," Vasquez said. "They're bringing history to life for these kids."
