MELVIN MOUNTAIN, Obituary

GREAT FALLS Melvin Emerson Mountain, 21, died Friday, March 29, 2002, at his home.

Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. today at the O'Connor Memorial Chapel. Cremation will take place.

Melvin was born on March 21, 1981. He was raised in Havre, Sun River and Great Falls. He graduated from high school in Simms in May 2000. He attended the Montana State University of Technology.

Melvin enjoyed walking, dancing, caring for his car, and music, especially Native American music. He was an Eagle scout.

Melvin was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin S. Mountain and Margaret Rose Spotted Bird.

Survivors include his sister, Melissa Clark of Great Falls; half-sister, Veldeen Mountain El Asad of Broken Arrow, Okla.; half-brother B.J. Mountain of Allentown, Pa.; grandparents, Paul and Katie Spotted Bird and Moses and Molly Mountain; aunts, Caroline Crazy Boy and family and Elaine Small of Havre; three cousins; and a special family friend, Karen Vosen and family.
