Fresno and Tiber fishing areas reopening to public

The Tailwater Fishing Access site downstream of Fresno Dam and Sanford Park downstream of Tiber Dam will reopen to public access on Saturday.

Both areas have been closed for several months as part of heightened security measures implemented by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation following the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

Some restrictions will continue to apply. Increased security continues at Bureau of Reclamation facilities, and restrictions will be revised if necessary, the bureau said.
